Our Services

AVC is a lot more than wellness – we offer complete medical and dental care, with on-site access to advanced diagnostics few clinics can offer like ultrasound and echocardiography. We offer a wide variety of elective and interventional surgical procedures, too.

From routine wellness exams to complex surgical procedures, our experienced team provides comprehensive care tailored to your pet’s unique needs.

Complete Veterinary Care

From wellness care and wellness membership to advanced surgical procedures and diagnostic imaging, we provide comprehensive veterinary care for pets of all ages.

Wellness Care & Preventative Medicine

Annual or semi-annual physicals with screening tests and vaccinations as indicated are essential to keep pets healthy. Includes parasite testing, heartworm prevention, and wellness exams.

Advanced Diagnostics

On-site ultrasound, echocardiography, digital x-rays, and advanced blood testing. We’re the only clinic in the area with diagnostic ultrasound capability on staff.

Veterinary Dentistry

Your pet’s mouth is the most common place for potentially painful problems to hide. Dr. Rowland has a decade of focused experience managing pet’s oral health.

Surgery & Advanced Procedures

Radiosurgery technology, spay/neuter services, and complex surgical procedures with complete anesthetic monitoring for the safest outcomes.

Wellness & Preventative Care

Preventative health care is the foundation of keeping pets healthy. Annual or semi-annual physicals, with screening tests and vaccinations as indicated, help us catch problems early and keep your pets thriving.

Wellness Exams

Regular physical examinations help identify health issues before they become serious. We recommend annual exams for adult pets and semi-annual exams for senior pets.

Vaccinations

Core and lifestyle-specific vaccinations protect your pet from serious diseases like rabies, parvovirus, distemper, and feline leukemia. We tailor vaccination schedules to your pet’s needs.

Parasite Prevention

Heartworm is endemic in Southern Indiana. We recommend annual testing and monthly preventatives for all pets. Fecal exams screen for intestinal parasites, and flea/tick prevention protects against disease.

Microchipping

A microchip is a permanent form of ID about the size of a grain of rice. If your pet is ever lost or stolen, any veterinarian or shelter can scan it to reunite you with your companion.

Wellness Membership

Our Wellness Memberships bundle the basics we recommend for all pets, saving time and money while fostering better lifelong relationships between pets, their people, and our staff.

Surgery & Advanced Procedures

At AVC, your pet’s comfort and safety is never optional. We offer a wide variety of surgical procedures with the most advanced anesthetic monitoring available.

Radiosurgery Technology

Advanced radiosurgery technology allows for more precise procedures with less bleeding and faster healing times.

Complete Monitoring

Complete monitoring of pulse, respiration, electrocardiogram, oxygenation, and blood pressure by a trained technician throughout every procedure.

Pain Management

Complex, modern anesthetic protocols for improved safety with pre-, post-, and intra-operative pain medications to maximize comfort.

Each pet is unique – some are large, some are small, others may have additional issues that need addressed while under anesthesia. That’s why we require a reduced-cost Pre-Surgical Consult prior to scheduling any surgery. The consult gives the Veterinarian a chance to screen for any problems, make a plan to deal with them, and give you an accurate estimate of costs.

Advanced Diagnostics

If there’s an answer, we have the tools to find it. We’re the only clinic in the area with on-staff diagnostic ultrasound capability, plus digital x-rays, advanced blood testing, and echocardiography.

Veterinary Dentistry

What would you do if you had a toothache, but couldn’t tell anyone? Your pet’s mouth is the most common place for potentially painful and serious problems to hide.

That terrible smell and brown or green buildup on your pet’s teeth? That’s not normal – it’s a sign of dental disease that can lead to pain, tooth loss, and systemic health problems.

Access Veterinary Care offers the best dental care in the area. Our dental equipment is the best available, and Dr. Rowland has a decade of focused experience managing pet’s oral health. We are committed to your pet’s dental health because we know how much it impacts their overall wellbeing.
