Dr. Nicole Beneigh image

Dr. Nicole Beneigh

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Beneigh graduated from Michigan State University in 2015 before coming to southern Indiana to practice veterinary medicine, with a focus on internal medicine and preventive care. When not working, she enjoys competing and training her two ex-racehorses Luna and Cyclone.

Dr. Courtney Smock image

Dr. Courtney Smock

Veterinarian / Owner

Dr. Smock graduated from Purdue University in 2010. While in Albuquerque she completed an advanced internship at a specialty referral center and worked in private practice. Returning to Indiana, she worked several years handling the Emergency Room at Blue Pearl in Louisville. Her primary interests are soft tissue surgery, wound management, and general medicine. She moonlights as devoted servant to two cats, and when they are fully satisfied (which is rare), you might find her enjoying a walk outdoors, playing board games with friends, or binge-watching Adventure Time.

Dr. David B. Rowland

Veterinarian / Owner

Dr. Rowland started his career taking care of service members’ pets and a cadre of Military Working Dogs at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His areas of emphasis include dentistry, diagnostics, and client education (believe it or not, he taught English before deciding to study medicine). Outside of medicine, he enjoys cycling, playing guitar, Building Stuff, retro video games, and spending time with The Wife (Dr. Smock).

Courtney Jahn, RVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Courtney has been a member of the AVC team since 2019 and officially became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2020. She has a particular interest in dental health and preventative care. In her spare time she enjoys singing and playing music, as well as caring for her menagerie of dogs, cats, ferrets, and lizards.

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Christen became a registered technician in 2016 to make a career of her love of animals. She joined the AVC team in 2021. Her two dogs and three cats are the center of her world. In her free time she enjoys hiking, reading and watching movies with her animals (and husband).

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Julia earned her Associates in Veterinary Technology in 2015, and has worked at AVC since 2020. She has a special interest in animal behavior and often works as one of our Surgery Techs. In her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and furkids, Sadie and Ginger.

Veterinary Assistant

April came to us with 16 years of prior experience at Hollis Animal Clinic, bringing a great love for our patients and profession. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her three dogs and keeping in shape doing Hot Yoga at 107 degrees.

Aliyah has worked with Access since 2021. She went to Prosser in New Albany for 2 years for nursing and worked in a nursing home before Access. Hannah Foreman

Head Client Experience Coordinator

Hannah started in the vet field in 2020 and joined Access in 2021. She has three cats and a handful of fish (though we do not recommend handling them to count). In her free time, she likes to read, play video games, and stream media just like you.

Customer Experience Representative

Tiffany is another new addition to our staff. She likes spending time outdoors either hiking or gardening. She loves spending time with her 6 cats, 5 dogs and about 100 Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches. In the evenings she likes to watch 70’s/80’s sitcoms, Big Brother or Survivor.

Customer Experience Representative

Carol has been a Veterinary receptionist for over 25 years, in 4 states and 5 clinics. She absolutely loves her work – where else can a love for animals and the gift of gab fit so perfectly?!  In addition to caring for her personal pets and your family members, she enjoys songbird and wildlife rehabilitation, along with fostering countless dogs and cats.

Hannah Vaughn

Office Manager

Hannah is a graduate from Hanover College with a B.A in Biology. Her animal endeavors have ranged from showing llamas, studying herpetology, and interning at a Manatee Rehab. When she’s not working, you might catch her performing as a princess for birthday parties, cooking a new recipe, or getting coffee with her dog Silvi.

Inventory Manager

Darian grew up in Georgetown and now lives in Henryville. In her free time she likes to go hiking and camping, but spends most of her time caring for her own personal zoo at home – she has 4 dogs, 2 cats, 3 birds, and a bearded dragon.
